In April 2024, Michael Conway was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Starbucks North America. Conway, who has extensive experience in strategic planning and operational excellence, brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position, where he will be responsible for teams throughout the United States and Canada. Previously, he was the group President of International and Channel Development, where he oversaw Starbucks' retail growth and operations in 80 markets worldwide and managed global partnerships with companies such as Nestlé and PepsiCo. Since joining Starbucks in 2013, Conway has held various leadership positions, significantly contributing to the company's growth and development in multiple regions.

Before his tenure at Starbucks, Conway was the Worldwide President of McNeil Nutritionals, a Johnson & Johnson division, where he marketed products such as SPLENDA and VIACTIV. He also held numerous strategic and marketing roles at Campbell Soup Company, including overseeing the US soup franchise and launching highly successful microwavable cups and bowls. Additionally, Conway's career includes positions at Kraft General Foods and Bain & Company. Conway holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
