The company has appointed Lukasz Strozek as Chief Technology Officer, putting him in charge of its global technology and engineering functions as it works to scale its modern card issuing platform and advance its broader product roadmap. According to a company announcement, CEO Mike Milotich said Strozek brings deep technical expertise and a proven track record of “scaling products and building high-performing engineering organizations.”

Strozek transitions to Marqeta from LendingClub, where he served as CTO with responsibility over the engineering, product, and data organizations. His 20-year career in regulated financial services includes a tenure as CTO of Hippo Insurance, where he led software engineering, data engineering, and product management across multiple business lines. Additionally, he held technical and product leadership roles at Bridgewater Associates and Bolt Financial, and worked at SoFi following its 2018 acquisition of Clara Lending, a digital mortgage platform he co-founded.
